I believe that it is important to meet you where you are in your life's journey. You are here because you are interested in improving your life. A lot of people complain about their life but do not do much to actively make improvements. Through coaching, you will actively work to make the changes that have been on your mind and through consistent action, your mindset will improve, your life will change and you will live your potential! Through personalized coaching sessions, we'll work together to identify your strengths, overcome obstacles, and achieve your goals.
My passion for coaching began around a decade ago while working as an academic coach for students at East Carolina University who were on academic probation. This consisted of working with the students to develop structure/routines, enhancing life skills and progressing towards their short term and long term academic goals. For me, I really enjoyed seeing how consistent actionable changes significantly improved their academic and social wellness. More recently, as a Physician Assistant (PA), I have found tremendous benefit in using my life coaching skills to help people manage their mental, emotional and physical health for the past 4 years.
I am a Charlotte native and have lived here all my life! I consider it important to be a coach that practices what I preach as a life coach and as a healthcare provider. The exercises that I ask my clients to do are ones that I do regularly. This helps keep me grounded in who I am, engaged in what is important to me and putting my best foot forward. In my free time, I enjoy working on my physical fitness, traveling for new experiences and spending time with friends/family. I enjoy reading self growth books and psychology books to expand my knowledge of the human psyche. Some of my favorite books include: The Brain That Changes Itself by Dr. Doidge, Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Coleman, Man's Search For Meaning by Viktor Frankl and Never Finished by David Goggins.
